Does Alabama require mandatory insurance coverage?

I saw a question about states and mandatory insurance coverage for this surgery. I need to know if Alabama is covered by this law. I work and live in Alabama, but my corporation headquarters is in South Carolina and my insurance is BCBS of South Carolina PPO. Which laws apply. I need help desparately as I need this surgery.
