Has anyone had the experience of workman's comp. ins. covering the procedure?

I was injured on the job and am collecting workmans comp. My dr says there are tests he needs to run on me but can't due to my weighing 530 lbs. he wants to talk to the ins. carrier to find out if they will cover this procedure. Has anyone had anything like this? I figure I have a 5% chance it would be covered.
