Does diet caffine free soda count as fluid?

I know that caffine is a diuretic so that would not count, but I tried some caffine free Diet Rite Raspberry soda today and it was DELICIOUS!! I am wondering if that counts towards liquid intake since there's no sugar, carbs, fat, calories or caffine. Also, the Diet Rite is made with Splenda which I hear is better for you than that asparthame stuff. I also like diet A&W root beer, which is also sugar free and caffine free, but does contain asparthame. Would that count toward fluid intake also? I drink 70 to 100 oz of water a day and would just like to enjoy a different drink every so often. Thanks in advance!!
