Does anyone have this problem

My ankles swell especially my left one and not quite half way up my leg turns pink when I stand on them 8 hours at work. It got to the point I was in so much pain I could barely walk. I went to my PCP and he did blood work to check for gout but said my uric acid level was fine but I could still have gout. He prescribed naproxen 250mg. and it helps but legs and ankles are still swelling. Has anyone had this problem. I know I do not need to stay on this med. My surgeon says it is o.k. as long as I take it with food and tums before. Please anyone let me know. Thanks, Cynthia
