Has anyone had severe bowel pain/intestinal gas from SF Tang Mix?

I am pre-op ad I bought SF Tang mix to try it out before surgery because it was high in VitC and OJ is too acidic for me. However, I experienced 2 days of severe bowel pain/intestinal gas after drinking a couple of glasses in a day. I know I have read about some SF items that have the sugar substituted with something that can cause a similar reaction. Has anyone else experienced this and do you know what is causing it? I don't want to experience that again!?!
