Help I've got hives!

I am six days post-op and other than a really annoying cases of the hives I am doing quite well. I am on NO medication of any kind.I woke up this morning with hives over a good portion of my body. Called my Dr. and was told to take liquid Benedril which I did. Still they are getting worse. I guess I need a little hand holding here. Please share similar experiences if this applies to you. How long did they last and what you did to get over them. Thanks for taking the time to respond.+
