Does the data on the Fobi Pouch suggest that more weight is lost with it than RNY?
Is the general feeling of the weight loss community that the Fobi pouch procedure is preferable for heavier individuals than the RNY, whether Lap or open? Do people lose more with the Fobi, and keep it off with better success than RNY? I understand the procedure, itself, and the added insurance the silastic ring gives, and I know Fobi is a more complicated procedure. I'm 350 lbs, at 5'6 1/2", and want to go the route that has the most effectiveness. I hear of RNY patients who have lost 100 lbs or so, but read of Fobi patients who have lost 175 pounds and up. What't the general feeling out there? In my original question, I asked about the "data" supporting more weight with Fobi, but really should ask more about the experiences of you out there. Please tell me. Thanks so much, Pam Cerda
