Spleen injury

I just got out of the hospital after almost a week's stay. Diagnosis was splenic infarction. My spleen was enlarged and from some indications has been injured. My question is: Has this happened to anyone else? What is in store for me? Am I gonna live? Really very concerned. Please e mail me as I will be going up north to stay with my mother to recooperate and won't be on line to read answers except for e mail. THANKS
