Anyone associate tongue sores with Sugar Free Candies?

Hello All, I seemed to have noticed a pattern today, and was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I will occasionally enjoy a Sugar Free chocolate from Russel Stover's, but I have noticed that shortly after I will have sores on my tongue. Like little paper cuts. It is really irritating. I'm pretty sure its something with the ingredients (DUH), but I'm not sure what it could be. Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone know why this might happen? I appreciate any feedback! Thanks!
