I've recently developed a bellybutton infection, could this be from a hernia?

Iam 13 months post op with a rny/open. I have had no complications to date. About a month ago i developed what i thought was a chest cold, (my chest hurt alot for a few days) thought it could be disrupted staple line, they did upper gi and said no, everything looks great. So i go home and resume life. Now a couple of days ago i notice a real tenderness in my abodomen around the bellybutton. I do not have skin hanging from weight loss. My loss has been primarily in the leg area. so it isnt excess skin. Tonight i noticed my naval burning and looked at it, and it is INFECTED!! I have never experienced this, ever! Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be. I eat 4 oz meals still and sometimes i've noticed lately that im full pretty quick and havent eaten what im suppose to in those 4 oz. Im trying to give accurate info so that you can answer affectively. If you can help me at all i would be so grateful. Thanks, Darlene
