My PCP said he will send a letter of med. necc to my insurance Cigna PPO to get a

pre approval. What does that mean? And what do I do now? My consultation date is April 25th. Do I wait to hear something from my PCP or do I call the insurance company about it? Please help!! Thanks! Melissa
