Does anyone know what this could be?

For the last couple of weeks everytime I try to eat or drink I get a real severe pain just between the breast at the breast bone. I also have belching that you wouldn't believe at this time. They both hurt so bad that I have to quit and hold my chest or go lay down until it stops. Friday I called the doctor and he prescribed Reglan to be taken 30 minutes before eating a meal and at bedtime. Now I am real sore about where the pouch should be. Does anyone have an idea what is going on? Also my energy level is really low--I don't want to eat because of the pain and I don't want to do anything because of lack of energy.
