Post Ops! Important Info About Abdominal Pain! Please Read
The pain had gotten progreesively worse. i went to see my surgeon and turned out I needed anohter surgery right away. He said that he sees this in 2 to 3% of his patients. It seemed that from losing a lot of weight very quickly, there were spaces or openings between my organs and my bowel kept getting caught or twisted in these openings. So he had to go in and close up the spaces. It was done by laser surgery, which was good I guess. But it was very scary because he said these things can become life threatening. i went to see him on a Wednesday and had to get operated on on Monday morning. This was a month ago. I have helaled and feel OK now, but it was a very scary thing and I hope I never have to have surgery again. So if any of you experience pains, please do yourself a favor and go to your surgeon right away. I'm not trying to scare anyone out there. I still don't regret my GBP surgery and would do it again in a minute, but there ARE complications out there!
