Can I reduce the amount of water in my protein shake?

I am 3 days post op and am using the Problend 55 Mocha Cap. They require 8-12 oz of water which I used 8 oz, 2 teaspoons of chocolate pudding mix, and a sprinkle of Splenda. I could not get it all in. Can I reduce the amount of water to 6 or 4 oz to make it easier to get it all in? Thanks in advance for your responses.
