Has anyone had experience with not being able to qualify for life insurance pre-op

I wondered if anyone had the experience of being denied life insurance due to obesity, and then post-op being able to qualify? How long post-op did you wait before reapplying, and did the fact that you have had this surgery cause an increase in your premiums or cause a "rider" to be attached to your policy relating to WLS? Also, if you have life insurance post-op, which insurers are good to work with? Thanks in advance.
