What can I expect from Medicaid?

I am a 43 yr old female, my BMI is 58, I have type 2 diabetes, asthma, emphysema, copd, sleep apnea and plus a degenerative disease of the spine, which means I am in pain allot. I want to have weight loss surgery because my weight is interferring with my life and I am going to see my PCP today and bring up the subject of surgery to her. she last time I went in jumped me about my wieght. but anyway I am afraid that I will be denied by medicaid here in oregon. Has anyone had dealings with medicaid and what can I expect, if I do get approved the surgery will be done at OHSU in Portland Oregon.
