Diet coke lovers!

I love diet coke and I am 8 weeks post op from open ryn. My doctor has said no diet cokes for another 3 months. I was wanting to hear from others about what their doctor has said about this and hear from those that are drinking diet coke (with the fizz - not flat) and if they have had any problems, when they started drinking them, etc. Thank you
