Am I still a canidate for for revision , after having a Pulmonary Ebolisim with VBG surgery?

I had open VBG in 1997, and had a PE a few days post op. I'm considering a revision as I am gaining weight again. I had to have gallbladder surgery in 98 and they just gave me hepurn before and after surgery. I know my risk is high for reoccurance, but would a surgeon considerate doing this surgery with a PE history?
