Will getting a letter from my chiropractor help with the approval process?

I'm being treated right now for a bulging disk and wondered if a letter from him to go along with my PCP and surgeons letter would help with the approval. I have Aetna insurance if that makes a difference. Has anybody done this? And do you think it helped?
