What If I have to change insurance after my surgery?

What I am wondering is: because of financial reasons, I really need to start working after my surgery, and most likely will not qualify for Medicaid at that point. If I am put on a group plan and need skin removal, can this be classified as reconstructive surgery, or wll it be a "pre-existing condition?"
