Has anyone had a problem with their tongue hurting?

This almost feels like a burn. My tongue hurts at the surface. I sipped some Coca-Cola yesterday and it actually burned my mouth, so I had to stop. Also, I had a weird "thrush" type reaction to the protein drinks right after surgery and had to put it down by switching to active yogurt and other natural high-protein foods. I'll say it again; pureed cottage cheese is fabulous with baby banana's. :) Thanks for the help!
