Can overeating cause internal bleeding?

I am almost six months out from an open RNY with a transected stomach. When I had my annual physical, the doctor found blood during the rectal exam. Rather than scope me he had a high-contrast CT scan run to check for lesions, tears, etc. Nothing showed up. I have had several incidences over the holidays where I have overeaten and had adominal pain as a result. Could this be causing the blood that the doctor found?
