Has anyone got approval while on SSI & having a WV medical Card?

I am on SSI & have a West Virginia medical card. I am to have LAP RNY in Pittsburg Pa with Dr Philip Schauer. I have heard that they will not approve this even with co-morbidities. Any suggestions? I need this surgery URGENTLY!!!!!
