Hep C ~ symptom free, can I still have RNY ?

I have been diagnosed with Hep C, approx. 13 years ago, and still remain symptom free. Has anyone had RNY surgery with Hep C recently? What type of problems did you have, and how current is your surgery? Really wanting to have surgery, frustrated by surgeon. All previous posts are at least several years old. Please help
