How do you space your meals for proper Protein absorbtion?

If we only absorb 30 grams of protein at a time, what amout of time is that? 30 gr an hour or every 4 hours?? I am still having to use protein shakes so if I finish a protein shake around 10:30 am then for lunch at 12:30 I eat 2 oz. of tuna will I absorb all the protein or just part?
