What should I be doing?

I have my 1st consult in Sept., but I would like advice on what I should do to speed up my actual surgery date, like anything that I should be doing, I feel like I should be doing something. I really just want to be able to give him everything and be set for a date I tried to see if I could be put on a cancellation list, but the nurse informed me that there was none. Advice, please:)
