**Does anyone have any feedback on how long a insulin-dependent will lose weight??

I know that when your a Diabetic on meds, that you lose at a slower rate(meds work against weight lost) but someone told me that they also lose weight for a longer period of time(after operation)compaired to a non-diabetic. Anyone out there know of this.
