Anyone here ever had superficial phelbitis before surgery?

I had superficial phelebitis when I recieved an intravenous dosage of Phenegran for a virus. It basically synged my vein in my right arm. I've never had any other trouble but I am wondering would this put me at a higher risk for a pulmonary embolisim?
