I need a good remedy for Burping

I am 14 months post op and have never had a problem with burping. However, my very good friend is 3 weeks post op and is dealing with almost continuous burping. It's not big, long, loud burps it's little popping type burps. It ALWAYS happens when she eats or drinks anything. Gas-X does not help. To me, it looks like she's doing everything exactly like she's supposed to. She doesn't drink with meals. She doesn't eat too much or too fast (I'm a witness to this!!) but she just burps all the time. Does anyone have any suggestions or remedies? A prescription perhaps? I'd hate to see burping make someone regret having this wonderful surgery. Thanks for your help!
