Can the federal Family & Medical Leave Act apply to me for WLS?

A month is a long time to be out of work. I wonder if I can use the Family & Medical Leave Act to cover me and keep my job for me while I am off work and recovering? I am a single guy, and I would like to have my job back when I recover! Any thoughts on this?
