What are good FIRST solid foods and what about cooking?

I have one more day to be on solid food after 6 weeks.... the problem is I can't seem to find anything appealing. I was trying to eat early but all I have had no taste for anything. Yesterday I wanted a taco, I got a fish taco, ate a few flakes of fish from the inside and gave up. Tonight I made pasta and mixed left over london broil in it, I ate a couple of tiny strands of angel hair pasta... I hear of people eating pizza, burgers etc, mentally I want to eat that stuff but I feel like I have "forgotten" how to eat...LOL... Is this common after coming off a pureed stage? Any tips on "first" solid foods and how I should be eating. My doctor has given me a sample diet, but it's only one day's food....I think I need more variety than chicken marinated in soy sauce and lemon :o) By the way, did a lot of you lose the desire to cook and did you get that back??
