Does celebrex come in tablet form?

Yesterday my PCP gave me Celebrex in capsule form for shoulder bursitis. This a.m. I dropped a capsule in a small glass of tepid water. 2 hours later the meds are still in the capsule. Is this what happens in my body? Should I open the capsule, slit it, what? Or, does Celebrex come in tablet form?
