I am very frustrated with my treatment, what can I do???
I have had problems with the person at the surgeon's office who handles the paperwork. She kept telling me she had sent my paperwork but when my patient services rep called her she said she had not even finished the packet yet, this went on for 3 weeks, I called once a week for status. Now I have surgery approval but still no date, when I got approved I called the surgeon's office but she told me they had nothing yet, so I just had to wait, I called my medical group and they faxed over the approval right then. I called back and she had left but they would have her call me yesterday afternoon since they got the approval...no call!! I called this morning and she said she still could not give me a date since she had to 'run it by' the office manager. I asked my medical group about a different surgeon but since I'm HMO and this the doctor they contract with....many people have had great treatment there, but I really feel like I'm banging my head against the wall. Is there a way I can handle this, I would just ignore her if she would give me a date, but I'm not even getting that..
