How soon can I travel after lap?

I'm having lap bypass on 4/16/01.I have the opportunity to fly to Vegas (4 hours) on 4/28/01. If no complications and I feel well, should I go? The Doctor says don't travel for a month...but that seems extreme. Instead of going back to work, I'm going on a brief vacation. Thoughts? Advise?
