I hate asking this, but what should Bowel Movements

I have searched all over for some kind of answers to this but is what I have normal? I am hoping the red color I saw two days ago was simply "red die no. 5" due to the popsicles and punch I have been drinking. I am two weeks post op and it is like black tar, now. Sorry to be so graphic, but I am concerned. I have no pain.
