I'm 6 1/2 months post and following the Richard Simmons Food Mover Plan.....
Hi! I am 6 1/2 months post op. I had a lap rny on 11/3/99. I have lost 98 pounds and am now down to 187. I have been on a plateau for about a month. I do not dump and was taking in far too many carbs. I am now trying to follow Richard Simmons Food Mover Plan: 2 milks 4 protein 4 vegetable 2 fruit 3 breads 2 fats These exchanges follow the typical diabetic exchange type program. The calories are about 1060. Sometimes I do not get everything in and maybe eat 850-1000 calories. I started following this plan in an effort to change my eating habits, particularly my high carb intake and low fruit/vegetable intake. I do step aerobics for 1 hour, 3-5 times a week. I am making a real effort to get all the water in. Is this too many calories? Has anyone else hit a plateau like this around this time? I guess I am worried I am not going to lose any more weight. I never had to see a nutritionist (although one stopped by for 10 minutes at the hospital). What are the guidelines a nutritionist gives at 6+ months out? Thanks for any info! Chris
