Have you experienced gout post-op?

I am wondering if I am the only one who had an attack of gout after wls. I was six weeks post-op and had a severe gout attack in my big toe. I have no history of gout and this was my first attack. The Dr. says it was brought on by the changes in my body. Do any of you know what you can take post-op for this condition? thanks, Deanna
