Is the TT pain same as the open RYN?

I had open RNY June 2003 and it was extremely painful due to a leak I had and they had to go back in four times to find. This was the worse pain I have ever had in my life! I'm wanting a TT but I'm scared the pain may be the same or worse. Is it the same? Also, I have a (fat)roll that hangs over my jeans, when I have the tt it won't be there anymore, right? Where can I get before and after TT pictures?
