Hernia???

During the past couple of months I have noticed bulges in my tummy when I cough or do crunches for my stomach. There are 3 "alien-like" protrusions from my belly when I lay down and cough or sneeze. I know these are probably hernias, and I will try to get into see a Dr. soon. The other issue however, is pain. I have pain after eating or drinking anything, it's almost like a trapped gas feeling. I have had excessive amounts of gas (belching mostly) whenver I eat or drink for the past year, so I slow down, chew better and don't gulp--this has made no difference. I will be 36 months post op in 12 days, I'm surprised that I'm having issues now, never have had any problems prior. Any ideas??? Anyone else have this pain?? Is it the hernia(s)?
