Last week I posted a question about a BCBS rumor.

Today on the front page of the Florida Times Union there was a story about gastric by pass surgery. It says that Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida will no longer cover any type of weight loss surgery. It says that "the treatments lack the effectiveness and cost benifit to justify coverage". It goes on to say "This self-induced lifestyle problem needs to be addressed at the root...not through an easy fix procedure we think there are safety and efficacy risks". I am so mad, how ignorant is that. Can they get away with that? I am almost incoherent after reading the artical. When I can think again I want to write someone or do something. Any suggestions? I think you can read the artical if you go to www.jacksonville.com.
