slow weight loss possibly from a beta blocker

I read that some people on atenolol (tenormin) blood pressure medicine, may have slower weight loss, because of a beta blocker. We are in the process of changing my medicine. I am 6 months out and have lost approx. 59 since surgery. Thanks for your help Linda Lang
