The strange things I'm able to keep down. Why????
So I'm 2 months post op and am only able to keep down liquids (water, fruit juice, milk, broth, yogurt smoothies, etc) and very dry foods (crackers, chips, dry cookies, toasted bread, etc.) Sugar doesn't seem to affect me or make me dump. I'm feeling more than a little guilty and unhealthy about eating all these high-carb, high-calorie foods. Every single time I try soft meats, vegetables, fruits - anything with texture - I get instantly naseuous and puke in some godawful public place. This is even true with chunky soups, salads, things in sauces, etc. I'm thinking it's a texture thing, but I don't know what's going on. I NEED to be able to add healthy, wholesome foods to my diet, but it's the things that are more textured and substantial that make me naseous. My weight loss is progressing well - about 4 pounds a week. If anyone has any idea what's going on and why, please let me know. I'm getting pretty sick of Cheetos and orange juice.
