Insurance exclusion, do I still have a chance?

My insurance has recently told me that weight loss procedures are excluded from my plan (after previously having told me that they were); do any of you have the same insurance or a similar situation that has ended up for the better? I'm so scared that I won't be able to have this surgery after I got my hopes up and put a lot of time into research and planning. My consultation is supposed to be Tuesday, please help.
