I can't see my pic on my profile

I'm hoping all you computer savvy people out there will be able to help me out. I sent an "after" picture of myself to Rhia for her to post to my profile. I looked today, and all I see is an empty box with a red "x" in the top corner. Why can't I see the new picture, just like I can see the old picture, when I bring up my profile?
