How do i tell my family?

My husband is very supportive of my surgery. Now I am at the point where all my testing is done and just waitung for a date, so I figure I eed to tell some people because I have three small children and will need family to watch them so my husband can be with me in the hospital. I was just planning on telling my sister and mother and then tell everyone else after surgery was over. However, everytime I go to bring it up I just freeze, anyone have any good advice?
