5.5 Months Post Op- Does depression come with the territory?
I'm 5 1/2 post op. My weight loss has been great. I've lost 80% of my weight, and I've had no problems or complications. But, I've been feeling a little depressed. I have been very strict with myself in regards to my 'diet', as per docotors recommendations, so I do feel like I'm kind of on a diet. I wonder if that's what the problem is? Or am I just frustrated because I want to just hurry up and get to my goal? I have nothing to complain about, but yet I feel depressed. Is it because I have fond memories of when I was this weight before (and of course we all know they are sugar coated), and my current life isn't meeting my expectations? (I was young and single the last time my weight was down, big party time for me)....I don't want to change my life, I've got a great husband. Is this common? Thank you!
