Will having a bridge (dental) prevent me from having WLS?

I am in the process of having dental work done and need a bridge on the bottom since I am missing my lower right molars. I will also be losing a lower left molar. I would like to know if this can keep me from having surgery? I know we need our teeth to chew but I seem to do fine right for now and know that this will change eventually. Thanks,
