Unrelenting chest pain:

My surgery was 1/7/03 and I have had pain between my breasts right over the chest bone from almost day one. This pain radiates to the back, and has recently become unrelenting. I can't lay down because it becomes so much worse. I am not throwing up, but sometimes have pain in my throat area also after eating. Anyone have any ideas for me?
