I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome type III, will this affect my surgery?

I have a consult scheduled for Thurs. Yesterday I saw a dr who said my Ehlers-Danlos (yes, you probably haven't heard of it, but I'm hoping someone on here has), might cause me to not be able to heal right from the surgery. Does anyone have any input about this?
