I'm 3 weeks post-op and haven't lost any weight for the last 2 weeks. Is this norm?
I am so sad. I'm sitting here balling as I write this message to you all. I'm 3 weeks post-op (open RNY on 11/12) and when I came home from the hospital (5 day stay) I had lost 18 pounds. At 2 weeks post-op went in to have my staples removed and lost another 2 lbs (grand total 20lbs lost) however, I have not lost anymore weight and am getting extremely discouraged. I weighed today and I still have only lost the original 20 lbs. Is this normal??? I don't think that I am overeating. One day I thought I had overeaten and asked my doc about it when I went in. He said, "Did you throw up"? and I said, "No". He said, "then you didn't overeat". So why am I not losing the weight. I get so discouraged reading people's profiles on here because it seems like everyone's weight just falls off effortlessly, but not for me. I hope I didn't go through all this for nothing. I am so embarrassed too, everyone knows that I had this "Weight Loss" surgery and I feel like a fool.
